How do you watch a video.

Please can someone go through the steps necessary to view a Video that has been posted, because when I click on the link it goes to a page with lots of videos but no way can I get any of them to open.

After one Windows 10 update I had a similar problem.

It seems I was now lacking a working media player.

So, on advice from a computer expert I installed VLC media player, and it's free.

If nobody can watch videos why bother having the section or posting videos to it. I just wanted someone to tell me how its supposed to be possible to view them. I have flash enabled and that works for other programmes but not for this bulletin board I also have VLC installed.

Well, I think it's fairly safe to assume that whatever the problem is that stops you viewing videos on here, it's not due to anything on this site.

If it was then I would not be able to view them either.

What browser are you using ?

I`m using Google chrome and just recently moved from windows 7 to windows 10 also got the latest flash player installed, the problem started on W7 videos just wouldn't play one day for some reason thought the change to W10 might have solved it but no!. Anyway, its still a great site with loads of information and a decent gallery.

On Google Chrome the flash player (Adobe) is part of the browser and sometimes the settings need changing.

I posted a link the other day on another thread.

I'm using google chrome since internet explorer on windows 10 seems to spend more time locking up than doing anything. What I was trying to find out is what actions did you need to take once you had selected a video. Tonight the miraculous happened when I clicked on the video it played so problem solved but I dont know why. Thanks for the suggestions but since I have done nothing except try on a different day perhaps there was a glitch somewhere.:-)

Tried a couple of tweaks in chrome as suggested but no different! This is a new video posted in the forum "The Close Action of Diesel and Electric | Indian" when I go to view it there is nothing there to watch!!.

It was there when I just tried it.

Try this link. Scroll down to the Windows part and follow the instructions.

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/flash-pla...er-chrome.html

Tip. You need to open the "advanced" settings to get to the "flash" place.

If you have problems PM (private message) me with your phone number and I'll try and talk you through it.
