Hi,
As I have just joined the forum I thought I should introduce myself.
I've always had a keen interest in the railway as my Dad worked as a train driver for 30 years starting in the 60's in Edinburgh, then he worked out of Selhurst, he never really took to anything that was not steam driven.
For my part I work for a UK based electronic repair company. We specialise in the repair and overhaul of various electronic parts of both vehicles and infrastructure for various TOC's and manufactures and it's my job to liaise with our customers and our workshop to find answers on electrical obsolescence issues, so as you can imagine it's a never ending but rewarding job.
I look forward to find out more about the industry and I'm also trying to put together a list of what parts are fitted to each class of train, which is proving difficult.
