Network rail news.

It seems that on today's Daily Telegraph front page there is an article headed

"Network rail to hand over control of tracks to train operators"

If anyone here reads that paper can the report on the details please ?

Saw the same on Daily Mail website.

Not sure if it's a good thing or not! Would be interesting to see if the TOCs can run the network better, but surely there could be conflicts of interest where more than one TOC operates over the same sections of track?

After the way in which the last Labour Government and John Prescott in particular treated the railway, I can't see anyone touching this with a bargepole. I was one of many thousands of shareholders who lost a packet to Prescott's chicanery. I lost quite a large retirement pot.
