Smile A friendly Hello from Switzerland!

Hello everybody!
My name is Alex and I'm Swiss.
I'm actually very interested (since the age of 2 ;-)) in all railways, espescially Welsh narrow gauge,Gauge1 modelling and the Great Western Railway.
In my school holydays,I enjoy working on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway in Porthmadog. My father's driving on the Ffestiniog Railway.
So,that's that.
All the best,
Alex

Hello Alex and welcome to the Railway Forum. I have yet to visit the WHR but I have seen the Garratts working in South Africa. Has your father driven one of them yet?

Do you intend taking up driving as well, or do your railway intrests rest in some other section of railways. I'm keen on modeling now that my footplate days are over.

Welcome Alex, Hope you enjoy the forum.
Ive just got back from a holiday in Wales and the WHR was the highlight and the Garratts impressed me. Visited but didn't ride the Ffestiniog this time. (pictures in the gallery)
Regards
