Only bird strike I ever had was on my motor bike as a lad - It flew through the front spokes on the bike whilst traveling at 50 miles / hour and I got sprayed with everything,

Talking of pheasents, I can remember one getting run over on a main road and its mate wouldnt leave it - think it wanted to commit sucide to be with its mate.
