High speed rail network - California, USA
America has looked enviously on the development of high-speed rail routes elsewhere in the world, particularly Japan.Ground was broken for the California high-speed rail project in Fresno in January 2015.With the population in California expected to grow from 38 million to 60 million by 2030, the government had to upgrade its transport system and the forecast expects 117 million passengers annually by 2030, with a relatively low passenger cost a mile, with a one-way fare of $55.

Will the State of California buy an 'off-the-shelf' railway from France, Spain, Japan or China or will they design their own from scratch?
There's a right way to do things and there's the wrong way. And then there's the American way.. |

Thank God we've dropped the idea of installing the European ERTMS across the network. That's saved this nation hundreds of millions and years of misery in the long run. |
