class 31

Hello
There used to be a class 31 which was used on the bletchley- bedford service, and it was named 'bletchley park'. Does anyone know if it is still named and if it is still around? Maybe in preservation?

Thanks
Ang.

I belive it is still around.
I think it was recently used in some sort of rail test.
It isn't preserved I know that much.

It was 31601 and the name was "Bletchley Park. Station X"

It may not have kept that name !

I called into the Nene Valley railway on the way past (Sunday 20th Sept) and they had a 31 there, brought back a few memories from my teen years.

I found a picture of 31601 and it had the name "Gauge O Guild 1956-2006"

It was in FM rail purple !!

There is a section on the remaining 31s both running and preserved on wikipedia.
Hope that helps.
