Talking hi everyone

Hi everyone has any one seen the pictures in the papers of the NEW peppercorn A3 looks good. Still much prefer a 37,56 or a 60 tho, sounds good thrashing up either Llanvihangle or Stretton bank with 2000 tons steel on the back. Has any one guessed where i`m talking about ? which route?.

Hi Inwr20, welcome to the Forum. I'm not very up on British Place names (being a foreigner) but the name Llanvihangle looks Welsh, so I'm guessing North Wales. BTW anything in steam will always look better than tin cans, although I am getting to like some of the older diesels of the BR. I drove some British and American diesels in Rhodesia but was far happier working Garratts or any steam.

Hi and welcome.

It is surprising how many reports I have seen that describe Tornado as a new "Flying Scotsman" (A3) So it is sadly a common mistake.

I can see how people get confused though. Afterall, the A3s used to be A1s, until they became A3s, which left the way open for the A1s to be A1s. And now I've confused myself! Anyway, welcome to the forum lnwr20, hope you enjoy it.
