The Secretary of State for Transport has announced his decision to give approval for the Rother Valley Railway's application for a Transport & Works Order to reinstate the railway between Robertsbridge & Bodiam. This follows a Public Inquiry held between 6 July 2021 & 4 August 2021, and 2-3 September 2021.
The line is to be built under the auspices of the Rother Valley Railway, but once complete the Robertsbridge-Bodiam section will be incorporated into the current Kent & East Sussex Railway, creating a 13.5 mile railway between Robertsbridge & Tenterden.
