Railfreight construction, Trainload Coal, Railfreight Distribution, Metals, Petroleum, were all "Sectors" which went into the melting pot and came out as the three Companies, Transrail, Mainline Freight, & Loadhaul. Wisconsin Rail bought all three of these and also purchased Rail Express Systems (RES) who handled the mail and parcels side, and formed EWS.
