As far as I know Hull Trains are going to hire in a 222 (or some kind of glorified bog cart anyway :D ). As I don't work in the centre of town anymore, my chances of observing the goings on at Paragon are unforunately few and far between. A class 67 in Paragon would be a nice sight to see, but I'm not holding my breath!

It is definatewly NOT going to be a 222 as Midland Mainline cannot release a 222. I think the 67 is most likely

Then... to the suprise of everyone, it gets replaced by a 170 and Hull Trains back where they started :D .

I really do hope we get to see this loco hauled idea put inot action but it wouldn;pt be suprising if it didn't

to be honest the 170 idea isnt a bad idea. However the only pit fall with this is that it couldnt keep to a 125mph timetable.

Perhaps First Scotrail could lend them a 170. But, as you say, the speed limit is an issue. It would mean a change in timings of certain diagrams.

There has now been discussion that the replacement will be an HST.

Confirmed power cars 43103 and 43121 are the lucky boys
