Rawtenstall

Hello All Last year I stayed in Manchester for a week visiting relatives, whilst I was there I paid a visit to Rawtenstall on the E L R, this was my first visit to a preserved line. Whilst I was there a train arrived and an LM S Jinty was the loco hauling it. I did some filming with my camcorder and I had a cup of coffee in the nice little cafe at the station.

As I sat there drinking my coffee I got talking to some people there. One chap who worked on ELR went to great lengths to tell me a lot about the E L R. The weather was nice and I spent an hour or so there enjoying northern hospitality. (Click on link for photo)

All preserved railways take note...... find time to talk to your visitors....... then they come back!
