Scotsman to Bluebell, KWVR & WSR in 2017
 
The NRM has announced that 60103 'Flying Scotsman' is to visit the Bluebell, Keighley & Worth Valley & West Somerset Railways in 2017.

I'll see you there, Tony! Last time I saw Scotsman in action was when I travelled on a special from KX to Doncaster in 1968, prior to the overhaul in advance of her ill-fated trip to America.

Scotsman visit to the WSR 2017
 
My local railway the WSR will have two visits from 60103 next year. Steam Dreams are using the WSR as a base for a couple of mainline runs in May and then we have the official visit in September.
My first encounter with Scotsman was in 1969 when it was preparing for its visit to the USA at Twickenham Station. Pathe News caught me and two friends at the beginning of the news clip.
