Hi I'm Jingling Geordie

Just like to say hello, I'm a refugee from a Web-Site that seems to be dominated by Modern Image Fans most of whom work on the Railways and are are obsessed with photographic competions.

I've a general interest in Railways that includes its social and historic elements and have never been a great fan of time keeping or the finer points of detail between seemingly very similar boxes on wheels.

However am very pro railways and dream of a day when they can be run by Railmen and Women.

Hello Jingling Geordie, welcome to the forum. We are a very mixed group with members from all walks of the railway world and from many parts of the world. We do like our photographic side of the forum but only for the enjoyment it gives us. We have members who like to talk about the finer points of some parts of the railway world and I often learn from them although I just skip over things that don't interest me like time tables etc. That does not mean that others can't write about them. As for the tin cans which I hated at first, I find that I am now starting to take a bit more interest in the older ones.
