Hornby Railway Crane in Yellow

I am puzzled by this model

RailRoad Breakdown Train Pack Product Code: R6365
RailRoad Breakdown Crane Product Code: R6369

I have never seen any crane on BR like this

although the crane runner truck is better than the one with the 75ton crane for authenticity

So can anyone tell me if the crane is a UK one or a european one painted up to save money

I have to say, it doesn't ring any bells with me, and I've seen a lot of railway cranes since the 60s!
Looks like the work of a freelance designer!

I would say that it is basically a repaint of the old Lima L309059 Continental crane. Hornby would have acquired the moulds when they took over Lima.

Ta John

was looking at it on Ebay for the crane runner
