eccentric mechanism?

hi all anyone familar with this eccentric mechanism? it got washed up on the beach here and I have no clue on these things but wiki says they were used on steam trains so I post here to ask if anyone can confirm it is from a steam train? or something else?

Hi Brataccas,
Sorry to disappoint you but the remains are those of an old reciprocating paddle washing machine. They were quite common in the early 1960's. You might find the name "Servis" or "Creda" somewhere on it. I used to repair and overhaul such machines.

My parents had a Canadian??? Beatty washing machine. A health and safety nightmare!
