Alexander Palace Show and rumours

No reports so did no-one else visit?

I went yesterday and thought it was very mediocre even by the variable standards of the BRM/Warners shows. Only layouts worth mentioning were Happisbrough (O), Rowlands Castle (OO), Widnes Vine Yard and Clutton (both EM)- Trade mostly ready to run pile 'em high sell 'em cheap merchants or over priced second hand with fewer specialists than ever

Two interesting rumours heard from exhibitors:

1: BRM/Warners are apparently planning another show in the Manchester area for next year but not clear if this is in addition to or replacing one of the existing shows.

2: Has Mike Cook - the long standing manager of the York show retired? - He is still listed as manager on the show's website but a couple of people said someone else was now running the show.

hi i went to alexandra palace on saturday
i liked the layout with the barmouth bridge on it and the 3 rail layout
i also found that the signal box did not have a lot of hornby locos on there stand but there was some nice things there
1 stand opposite hereford models had a G10 Q car (triang battle space) something like £325 i thought that was a little over priced
plus there was a few people there that pulled me back out of the way just to have a look (manners people would have been nice (do you agree))
