Preston Light Railway update

Just finished reading David Hindle's excellent new book "All Stations to Longridge" which prompted a further enquiry to last year's thread of the Preston Light Railway, which has aspirations of using the Longridge line trackbed. Anyone got any news on the project or has it died.

Well I don't think it is dead in the water, but I think there are obstacles in the way. The original plan was to link the trams to a new park and ride scheme at the north end of the city, this has proved to be a total failure with nobody using it so the council has decided to sell off the site. Where this leaves the tram scheme is anybody's guess
