Bridging the gap

Seems the bridge linking GCR north and south was lifted in last night.

What a milestone for the GCR and preserved railways in general.

Excellent news and all credit to GCR.
Looking forward to the Ruddington/Leicester return trip.

This event is yet another indicator that the GCR was condemned way too early in its life.
This fact is highlighted every time I stand on Nottingham station and see the reinstated bridge from Weekday Cross that now carries the tram way.
