Natural Gas powered locomotives

I thought that this link is interesting. The locomotive has a big tank for storing the gas:

Interesting locomotive. I'm not sure what the cost would be however. That tank is much larger than the diesel tanks on ordinary locomotives, which suggests a lower efficiency. It's early in development however, so I wish Canadian National luck in their endeavour. I'm glad someone is taking climate change as seriously as it should be.

Failed its MOT 8 months back, so its been sold to an enthusiast who might be able to use it for parts.

Thankyou. At least it has gone to someone to whom it may be of use, and may have a brighter future.
