Iam planning a Trip to MANCHESTER as above and was wondering if the 153 unit that Operates the Ormskirk to Preston Northern Rail Service has been refurbished as yet. (UNSURE OF FLEET No

Also the would the 09:50 Northern Rail Service be a 142 in genral ?

You mean Northern have refurbished a train, rather than just repainting it?

Yes theyve done some 153 - 155 & 158 units ?

Yes well i went to MANCHESTER on the above date and had a good day out and all went to plan going there,

I was pleasantly surprised when the ORMSKIRK to PRESTON Train turned out to be a 142 unit which was on this day 142 024 is this the normal working now for this line or is the 153 just in for Rfurbishment ?

There was no sighn of one of the ex W&B ALPHA line 158's on the EMT service comming back at 15.37 from MAn PIC just ex C/TRAINS 158 847.
